Virgil van Dijk, Lucas Paqueta react to heartfelt message from Liverpool’s Alisson

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta reacted to a heartfelt message from Alisson on social media.

During a season riddled with injury issues, Alisson has still managed to cement his place as one of the world’s best goalkeepers during his limited time on the pitch.

The former Roma shot-stopper has featured in 22 of Liverpool’s 31 Premier League games, with Bournemouth target Caoimhin Kelleher deputising in his stead.

Alisson’s heroics against PSG captured the imagination, with the Brazilian almost single-handedly securing the Reds’ place in the Champions League quarter-finals, before they eventually lost on penalties.

Having not featured for his club side since the match in Paris on 11 March, the Brazilian made his return to action for Arne Slot’s side in the 2-1 win against West Ham on Sunday (13 April).

Alisson ‘so happy’ after Liverpool vs West Ham

Following the win, which now puts Liverpool within touching distance of the Premier League crown, Alisson posted three pictures of himself to Instagram, captioned: “So happy to be back on the pitch. God is good all the time.”

Liverpool’s match-winner, Van Dijk, and the former Roma shot-stoppers’ international teammate, Paqueta, both liked the post, celebrating the 32-year-old’s return to action.
