Liverpool saw their hopes of sealing the Premier League title take a hit when their 26-game unbeaten top-flight run was ended at Fulham. Despite Alexis Mac Allister’s world-class opener, a dreadful first-half performance saw the Reds 3-1 down by half-time with substitute Luis Diaz’s second-half strike not enough as the visitors were beaten 3-2.
The result means Arne Slot’s side still require a maximum of 11 points from now seven remaining games to seal a record-equalling 20th championship.
No chance with the Fulham first, but the other two goals were close to him. Held on the ball a bit too much on occasion, but good save from Smith-Rowe late on.
Ibrahima Konate 3
Comical error handed Fulham early chance and momentum, then failed to cut out cross for leveller and looked all over the place first half. Settled down after break but by then damage was done. Subbed.
Virgil van Dijk 5
Misjudged high ball to allow Muniz to score the third and put under pressure by Fulham forwards and offered little out from the Liverpool midfield. More like his old self after break, though.
Andy Robertson 5
Mindless inside pass gifted Fulham the opportunity to score their second and appeared a little spooked for short while after that. Aided attack second half and close with one effort.
Ryan Gravenberch 5
Consistent showing before break in terms of regularly making the wrong decision and being bumped off the ball. Markedly improved second half as Liverpool pushed forward and finished at centre-back then left of defence.
Alexis Mac Allister 6
Superb opening goal completely out of keeping with the rest of Liverpool’s shocking first-half performance. Probed Fulham defence second half.
Mohamed Salah 5
No shortage of effort and a couple of moments of promise but soon became frustrated at the lack of quality. Day summed up when striking Diaz cross way over but crosses caused Fulham issues in latter stages.
Diogo Jota 5
Received barely any service first half but continued to show for a pass that never arrived. Forced good save from Leno shortly after break when finally given opportunity. Subbed.
Luis Diaz (for Gakpo 55) 7
At least provided an attacking threat with his running, and took his goal very well.
