According to Fabrizio Romano, Virgil van Dijk is certain to follow Mohamed Salah in signing a new two-year contract with Liverpool.
All the details of the new contract have been approved by all parties. The only thing left is for the captain to put pen to paper.
The announcement will take place before the end of the season, quite possibly in the coming days, soon after Salah’s new contract has been officially confirmed.
Van Dijk joined Liverpool in January 2018, meaning that his new contract will guarantee him almost a decade at Anfield.
Virgil has already lifted every possible trophy with Liverpool and is likely to raise the Premier League one as the captain at the end of this season.
