Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of Cody Gakpo ahead of their meeting with Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
Arne Slot‘s men will host Wolves this weekend hoping to add to their lead at the Premier League summit over Arsenal, which currently stands at seven points.
But the Reds could be without Gakpo, who was taken off against Everton in midweek with a knock. The Dutchman has been in fine form for Liverpool this term, scoring 16 goals in 36 games.
Gakpo would join the likes of Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton on the sidelines if he isn’t able to feature. There will also be no Curtis Jones after he was sent off for the role he played in the fracas that occurred following the Merseyside derby.

I’ve always said games in second half of season are more difficult than in the first,” Slot said on Friday.
“The new manager (Vitor Pereira) has come in and done a good job. It will be a challenge on Sunday but that’s normal. You can’t expect to go and have an easy win.
“Trent we saw being able to play, it was the intention to play half an hour. He will be training with us again. Joe Gomez is out and Tyler Morton is out. Cody is a bit of a doubt as well, let’s wait to see how he is today, I had to take him off because of an injury, he got a knock.”
