Latest Liverpool transfer news and gossip with updates on RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba and Nice forward Mohamed-Ali Cho

Liverpool may already have an eye on the summer transfer window, if some of the latest reports are to be believed. The Reds have a few months to prepare for their summer business, but will be more focused with the action on the pitch for the time being.
Arne Slot’s side are top of the Premier League table and have a seven-point lead over Arsenal in second. Liverpool’s advantage could have gone to nine points had they not been forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday night.
Attention will now turn to Sunday when Liverpool will host Wolves in the Premier League. Despite there being a third of the season left to play, rumours are already swirling about the potential transfer business that the Reds will want to conduct this summer.
Liverpool ‘interested’ in RB Leipzig defender
Reports have already begun to emerge claiming that Liverpool may be busy scouting players to sign ahead of the summer transfer window. One player apparently of interest to the Reds is RB Leipzig star Castello Lukeba.
According to Sport Bild, Liverpool are among a host of clubs that are considering a move to sign Lukeba in the summer. The Reds are joined by Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea as apparently showing an interest in the centre-back.
The report claims that Lukeba has a release clause worth €90million (£75million) in his contract at Leipzig. It has been reported that the defender’s agent is already working behind the scenes to prepare for Lukeba to join a new club in the summer
Liverpool ‘target’ former Everton star
Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign Nice star Mohamed-Ali Cho
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds are looking to sign a new wide forward in the summer, with Cho identified as a potential target. The report claims that Liverpool are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who is on a shortlist of players being considered by the Anfield hierarchy heading into the summer.
Cho has previously been on Everton’s books earlier in his career, signing for the Blues in 2015 and going on to spend almost five years on Merseyside. The forward left Goodison Park in 2020 to join Angers in France, and has since had a spell in Spain with Real Sociedad before joining Nice last summer.
This season has seen Cho impress since his return to Ligue 1, scoring five goals in all competitions with three assists to his name.
