Liverpool were frustrated after letting a late lead slip to draw 2-2 against Everton in the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park
Trent Alexander-Arnold cut a dejected figure after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Everton on Wednesday. Arne Slot’s Reds were denied the chance to move nine clear at the top of the Premier League table after James Tarkowski’s dramatic 98th minute equaliser earned a point for the home side.
Alexander-Arnold, who had missed the last two matches with a muscle injury, returned to the matchday squad for the Reds but was forced to settle for a place on the bench. Slot opted to stick with Conor Bradley following his impressive performance against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
However, with Bradley on a booking and looking like he was one foul from seeing a red card, Slot decided to make a change and bring on Alexander-Arnold in the 61st minute. While Alexander-Arnold didn’t have much of an impact during his time on the pitch, Liverpool seemed more comfortable
